COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State baseball team (27-7, 11-1) continued its trek up the national polls this week, claiming the No. 16 spot in the Baseball America weekly poll.

The Buckeyes went 5-0 last week and swept Big Ten foe Illinois on the road. Ohio State sits in first place in the Big Ten with an 11-1 mark and a two game lead over Minnesota (9-3).

OSU begins a 13-game homestand this Wednesday against Wright State at 6:35 p.m. in Bill Davis Stadium. The Buckeyes will then entertain Penn State in a four-game Big Ten series this weekend (Friday at 6:35 p.m., Saturday at 4:05 p.m., and Sunday at 1:05 p.m.).
