COLUMBUS, Ohio Ohio State University officials have cancelled the scheduled Tuesday evening (April 21) baseball game between Ohio State and Bowling Green State University because of the threat of persistent rain throughout the evening.

A decision was made at 2 p.m. this afternoon so the Bowling Green team would not have to travel the two hours to Columbus only to not play or to start a game that would have to be suspended due to inclement weather. No makeup date was set.

This is the first time this season Ohio State has lost a game because of the weather. Bowling Green has now had seven games cancelled because of snow, wet grounds or rain.

Both teams have Wednesday games scheduled. Ohio State hosts Ball State at 6:35 p.m. at Bill Davis Stadium. Bowling Green plays at Toledo in a 3 p.m. game.
