COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State track & field assistant coach Ashley Muffet will be on staff for Team USA Track & Field as they compete at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Senior Championships at Varsity Stadium in Toronto, Canada, from August 10-12.
Muffet will coach throws for the women’s team, led by Long Beach State sprints and hurdles coach LaTanya Sheffield, who also served as the sprints and hurdles coach for the U.S. team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Ninety-three athletes make up Team USATF for the event, including American record holder in the hammer throw, Deanna Price, and four-time NCAA Champion Maggie Ewen, who will compete in the shot put and discus.
The women’s hammer final is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10, followed by the discus final at 7:15 p.m. The shot put final will be on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 2:15 p.m., while the women’s javelin finishes out the throws at 3:05 p.m.
