COLUMBUS, Ohio – Buckeye wrestler and senior team captain Reece Humphrey became a two-time All-American Saturday morning after finishing third at 141 pounds in the 2010 NCAA Championships. Joining Humphrey as an All-American is junior Nikko Triggas, who finished eighth in the 125-pound weight class at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Neb. 

A native of Indianapolis, Ind., Humphrey wrapped up his career at Ohio State as a four-time NCAA championship qualifier with a 117-33 overall record. The 2009 Big Ten and NCAA Championships runner-up at 133 pounds, Humphrey also was the 2010 Big Ten runner-up (141). In his final two matches of his collegiate career, Humphrey, the fourth seed, posted a 15-4 major decision over Ohio’s Germane Lindsey before beating Oklahoma’s and fifth seed Zack Bailey, 3-2. 

As a three-time NCAA championships qualifier, Triggas earned his first All-America laurel Saturday morning. The Moraga, Calif., native finished eighth after dropping a 9-3 decision to Anthony Robles of Arizona State.

The Buckeyes remain in seventh place with 62 points with one more match to go. Senior and No. 1 seed Lance Palmer will attempt to win his first and only individual national title in the 149-pound bracket against Iowa’s and No. 2 seed Brent Metcalf at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday. The finals of the 2010 NCAA Championships will air live on ESPN and ESPN360.com.
