DES MOINES, Iowa – Ohio State’s 4x100m relay team finished in ninth place in semifinal action Wednesday evening at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Letecia Wright, Madison McNary, Chesna Sykes, and Christina Manning completed the race in a new school record time of 43.71, failing one spot shy of qualification for Saturday’s national championship. However, by finishing third in its heat and ninth overall, the foursome secured Second Team All-American honors. LSU posted the top semifinal time, crossing the finish line in 42.94.

Wright, Manning, and McNary will return to the Drake Stadium track Thursday evening. Wright and Manning will run in the 100m hurdle semifinals at approximately 7:50 p.m. ET, while McNary will participate in the 200m dash semis at 6:30 p.m. Ashley Galbraith will also compete Thursday in the high jump finals at 6:30 p.m.
