EUGENE, Ore. – The Ohio State men’s 4x100m relay team closed out the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships strong on Friday evening at historic Hayward Field, finishing as the national runner-up in the final race with a time of 38.75.
Appearing in the 4x100m relay final for the first time since 1994, freshman Eric Harrison Jr., senior Duan Asemota, senior Drelan Bramwell and senior Zack Bazile continued an outstanding, record-setting season with their second-place finish. Houston finished as the champion with a collegiate, meet and facility record of 38.17.
Junior DaJuan Seward finished 16th in the triple jump final with a best mark of 15.75m in his first appearance at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
The men’s team accomplished the best finish for OSU since 2004 with a tie for 12th place with Arkansas by accumulating 19 points. Georgia won the team title with 52 points overall.
The last day of the NCAA Outdoor Championships takes place tomorrow, with the women’s 4x400m relay team appearing in the final at 8:51 p.m. ET.
