COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will have 12 graduates on the field Jan. 1 in Glendale, Ariz., when the Buckeyes take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the 2016 BattleFrog Fiesta Bowl. Four members of the team were among the approximately 3,000 autumn semester graduates who received their degrees during commencement ceremonies Dec. 20 at the Jerome Schottenstein Center.

The latest graduates are wide receiver Jeff Greene, linebacker Joshua Perry, wide receiver Michael Thomas and linebacker Cam Williams. Each graduate actually received his diploma at the ceremony, a practice rarely attempted by a university the size of Ohio State.

The quartet joins six other Ohio State graduates on the team – offensive tackle Chase Farris, defensive tackle Joel Hale, long snapper Bryce Haynes, hybrid-back Braxton Miller, safety Tyvis Powell and tight end Nick Vannett – and two members of the team who graduated from other schools and then transferred to Ohio State: Jarrod Barnes (Louisville) and Jack Willoughby (Duke).
